For the past year I have seen each of
my friends from high school post comments regarding turning 30.
Some look at it as a bad thing. Others seemed indifferent.
I am THRILLED at this new age. I feel so comfortable with
myself and I am surrounded by so many wonderful people. I have
an amazing husband whom I love and who loves me so much. I have
two fabulous kids who are both so smart and kind and beautiful.
I have found my voice even more than before. I feel comfortable
stating my opinion and defending my views. I no longer feel
like I must appease the masses. I am surrounded by even more
friends and I feel closer to everyone than I have before. While
there are times from my past that I would love to revisit, there
isn't an age I would rather be. This isn't to say that life is
all rainbows and unicorns, we have our rough times, but I feel more
capable of overcoming those times. I feel I am a better mother,
wife, daughter and sister. Thank you to everyone who has helped
me along the way. I am proud to be 30 and look forward to all I
still have to learn about myself!
