Books to Read 2012

So, I have decided to create a few lists of goals that I want to accomplish for 2012.  Some are more personal and I don't feel comfortable posting them on here.  But here is one of my lists.  I want to read at least 25 books this year.  Here is the list that I have created:

1. Financial Peace Planner  (Currently Reading)
2.  Hunger Games  (Currently Reading)
3.  Catching Fire
4.  Mockingjay
5.  Deadly Choices
6.  The Panic Virus
7.  The Savvy Crafters Guide to Success
8.  The Book of Awakening (Currently Reading)
9.  Outlander
10.  Dragonfly in Amber
11.  Voyager
12.  Drums in Autumn
13.  The Fiery Cross
14.  A Breath of Snow and Ashes
15.  An Echo in the Bone
16.  Written in My Own Heart's Blood (doesn't release until 2013, so we will see if this gets accomplished)
17.  America's Cheapest Family
18.  Shift your Habit
19.  Thunder Dog:  The True Story of a Blind Man, His Guide Dog and the Triumph of Trust at Ground Zero
20.  The Three R's
21.  One of Us Must Be Crazy...and I'm Pretty Sure It's You:  Making Sense of the Differences that Divide Us
22.  The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
23.  The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes
24.  Your 4-Year-Old:  Wild and Wonderful (I suppose I should start this soon)
25.  The Money Saving Mom's Budget

A number of these are part of a series, so hopefully I like the first book of the series.  Otherwise, I will be looking for new books!  I also have a few stacks of Newsweek and Bloomberg Business magazines that I need to read through and recycle.  And, on top of all those reads, the kids and I still aim to read between 3-6 books a day together.  I am thinking of starting a chapter book with Wildman and reading a chapter an evening before bed.

Do you make a list of books you want to read?  Any suggestions?  Well, I suppose I should finish up on here so I can get some reading done!

Starting Fresh

Sweet Pea and her new rocking chair the night of her 1st birthday.  Wildman needed some camera time too ;-)
Well, after a 2 month hiatus, I am finally back.  During that time, I had every intention of posting a blog.  I had them written in my head.  Quirky comments, some reviews, boring news about the kiddos.  Then it started to reach a point where I felt like so much time had passed and I wouldn't be able to catch everything up.  Today I decided to just throw caution to the wind and start typing away.  I still plan on getting everyone caught up on what has happened in our lives lately.

I also realized that there were times that I wasn't posting things because I was afraid there may be that certain someone that I may offend.  After weeding through my Facebook friends, I realized that there are very few people that I truly care what their opinion is of me.  So, no more excuses, I will write some more.  I plan on posting my list of the 12 things I want to accomplish this year and the 26 books I want to read.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to the new year.  Now I need to get some pictures uploaded and go snuggle up with Sweet Pea.

What's on your fridge?

While I have plenty I should be writing about, I decided to take part in this fun challenge.  Now, I can't do it nearly as cool as some of the other bloggers, seeing as I can't figure out how to get the little arrows to point to each individual item on the fridge, but the pictures give you an idea.  Dirty Diaper Laundry started the idea and I found it on Cloth Diaper Geek.

Here is my messy fridge.  I think it was even this messy before kids, we just had other papers on it instead of the drawings ;-)

Here is the pasta skeleton Wildman made at storytime.  The top picture is of Wildman when he was 3 months old.  The bottom left picture is of my husband and I holding Wildman right after he was born.  The bottom left picture is one of the first of hubby and I together.
You can see that Wildman has gotten a little carried away with the fall and Halloween coloring pages.  I actually had to take off a few watercolors and other paintings because things were getting so colored.  The bottom pumpkin is Wildman's and the upper pumpkin is Sweet Pea's.

We also have things on one of the sides, but I figured the front was enough for now.  What does your fridge look like?
